Executive Eye-Opener 1Q25

Hello, 2025

As we head into the new year, the U.S. presidential inauguration is less than one week away. While every new administration brings a certain amount of change and uncertainty, we continue to focus on those dynamics and outcomes over which we as a firm ─ and individuals ─ have influence.

It is imperative to maintain focus on that which we can control. For many, that is finding the perfect new hire to compliment their existing leadership team or perhaps seeking to fullfill their next personal career goal.

For inspiration, look no further than Mac McNeil, whose rise to the top was anything but a straight line. Talking with him for the second installment of our CEO series was a breath of fresh air and we are excited to share not only his story but also his leadership philosophy.

As many esteemed leaders in the CDFI sector prepare to retire, the torch of community-focused financial innovation is poised to be held by a new generation. Don't miss this recording of our panel discussion at OFN where we discussed the critical steps needed to ensure a seamless transition.

As for us, we are kicking off our firm's new year aspirations by actively engaging in more corporate searches. An exciting new partnership with retail industry veteran Kimberly Lee Minor has us looking forward to empowering both leaders and organizations within that sector ─ and beyond.

As you head into the new year, we encourage you to ask yourself: What is it that you want to accomplish this year versus last year? What are you going to do to make that happen? What are the laurels on which you will stand? And more importantly, how can our firm be helpful to you as you reset your career or organizational objectives? We can't wait to be of service.

Warmly,

Tracy McMillan, CEO & Managing Partner
